If we’re essential, why freeze our pay?
Campaign Edge worked with the SDA National Office to develop a campaign calling on supermarket chains to give essential workers a pay rise of 1.75%, after the Fair Work Commission delayed their pay rise until February 2021.
These staff have been working tirelessly on the frontline of the response to COVID 19, despite the risks to their health and safety and through unacceptable abuse from customers. They have kept the shelves stocked, the registers open and allowed for Australians to put food on the table.
