Case Study
“Stop This Killer Stone”
CLIENT: CFMEU National

Silicosis is a lung disease that develops when working with crystalline silica, found in stone, rocks, concrete and bricks. As well as silicosis, dangerous exposure can cause lung cancer and autoimmune diseases.
Despite government-wide recognition of the problem, and with research projecting 103, 000 cases of silicosis of over the lifetime of current workers, the federal government had no plan to ban dangerous Silica products.
The CFMEU wanted a campaign demanding the government ban the use of Engineered Stone products from July 1st 2024.
We developed a campaign across broadcast, digital and radio to raise awareness and drive people to a landing page where they could send a message to Ministers across Australia demanding immediate action be taken.
