The Gruen Pitch brief was to increase public awareness of loneliness as a serious public health issue.
Most Australians will experience loneliness at some point in their lives.
Loneliness has been linked to poor health behaviours, poor physical and mental health and even premature death.
In light of these associated poor outcomes, we created an ad that highlights the need to view loneliness as a health problem as serious as more widely recognised ones.
This was our first ever Gruen pitch. It was a serious topic, so we took it very seriously. And won.
