“Aviation Keeper”

During the pandemic, the Transport Workers Union (TWU) wanted to convince the Federal Government to support aviation workers through an ‘AviationKeeper’ style payment. Almost 30,000 workers had lost their jobs or been stood down, also losing their leave and entitlements. Not only that, thousands of aviation workers were being denied access to JobKeeper.
Our campaign used flying analogy to encourage public support by reminding all Australians that they will want to fly again soon and will need aviation workers to make that happen!
The integrated campaign was executed via TV, Facebook, press and digital display. The campaign was effective – the Government agreed to financially support aviation workers through the pandemic.
