Airbnb wanted to counteract NSW Government Fair Trading changes to home short-term rental accommodation which were being driven by traditional competitors to curtail their business model.
We developed ‘Keep the Doors Open’ – a multi-platform campaign that showcased the ordinary people who rely on Airbnb for their income, and also to highlight how important Airbnb is to opening up regional areas not always served well by traditional accommodation options, and the economic impact of doing so. As well as the traditional audience of travellers, we also targeted political decision-makers.
